Children's Liturgy of the Word

Children’s Liturgy of the Word is an opportunity for children in grades K—6 to listen to a child’s version of the Sunday Readings so they can more easily understand the message of the Word.

The children are brought into Kelly Gym where the Word is read from the Children’s Lectionary. Following the presentation of the Word the children are divided into small groups to discuss the readings at an age and/or grade appropriate level. At the conclusion of the discussion the children are returned to the Church to partake in the Liturgy of the Eucharist.
