Baptismal Prep

The mission of Baptismal Preparation is to educate parents in regard to the commitment they are making for their child within the community of the Catholic Church.

1. Parents must attend a Baptismal Preparation Session. This is a one time requirement and does not need to be repeated for subsequent children.
2. Godparents (Sponsors) must be practicing Catholics and at least 14 years of age and have received the Sacrament of Confirmation. If sponsors are not from Saint Bartholomew, they must have a letter of eligibility from their Pastor.
3. A practicing non-Catholic baptized Christian may act as a witness along with a Catholic Godparent.

The Sacrament of Baptism is celebrated on designated Sundays by appointment only, except during the Lenten season.
